Following a visit in July 2026, we are delighted that Ofsted has recognised the significant progress being made at Walliscote Primary School and the positive impact of the hard work and dedication of the entire staff team.
Inspectors highlighted the school's open culture, where pupils feel safe, attend regularly and enjoy learning. They praised improvements in safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, leadership, early years provision, and personal development, while recognising the positive relationships between pupils and staff that help our children thrive.
The report also celebrated the rich opportunities offered to pupils, from trips and visits to leadership roles, sports, choir, chess and journalism clubs, helping children develop confidence, independence and wider life experiences.
Ofsted noted the good progress made under the school's leadership team, supported by ELAN, including improved attendance, clearer systems to support pupils' needs and a determined focus on raising standards. Inspectors recognised that the actions already taken are making a positive difference for children.
A particular highlight was the overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, with 98% saying their child is happy at the school.

We know there is more to do, particularly in ensuring consistently high-quality teaching and outcomes for every pupil, but the report confirms that the improvements we have introduced are already making a positive difference. Walliscote Primary is an inclusive and community focused fantastic school where we offer so many wonderful opportunities to our children and families. Over the past year our children have sang at many locations, we have held an Eid party and our older children enjoyed a brilliant residential in North Wales. We are so proud of our pupils, staff and wider school community and remain fully committed to continuing our journey of improvement."
While the report identifies areas for further development, it acknowledges that the school is already taking effective action and that improvements are having a positive impact on pupils' outcomes.
