A school that wishes to convert to academy status should complete the application to convert form on the Department for Education (DfE) website which can be found here. You will need to confirm that the governing body of the school has resolved that the school should become an academy. For foundation, trust or voluntary schools, you will also need to have obtained the consent of the foundation, trust or diocese to the academy conversion.
