Welcome to the website of ELAN – the Extend Learning Academies Network. We are a thriving multi-academy trust, serving a range of communities in and around Weston-super-Mare. Our schools are all unique, but are united by a passionate belief in the transformative power of education and a set of shared values - working together to embrace individuality and always do the right thing. 

The primary focus of each ELAN school is to meet the needs of the pupils and families in its local area, and the primary focus of the ELAN trust is to ensure that they are fully supported to do this. We take particular pride in the training and development of our staff, who play a central role in ensuring that our pupils leave ELAN schools confident and happy in their learning, and ready for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead of them.

It is a privilege to Chair a committed and talented Board, comprising Trustees and leaders who all have strong track records in their areas of professional expertise. The Board plays an important role in providing strategic direction and leadership to the Trust, championing its vision and values, and ensuring good governance. Day-to-day responsibility for management is delegated to the CEO and his senior leadership team.
