Milton Park welcome Oftsed visit
In January 2022, Milton Park Primary School in Weston-super-Mare welcomed an inspector for Ofsted into school for a two day Section 8 inspection.
Milton Park remained a good school and was praised in many different areas of school life including high-quality pastoral support, children’s behaviour, reading and safeguarding.
Children at Milton Park follow the school’s values. They are ‘responsible, respectful and resilient’. They also take on responsibility as anti-bullying ambassadors to offer support to their peers.
The Ofsted inspector reported that: “Pupils take advantage of the opportunities that staff provide. These include sports clubs and the ‘mini police’. Leaders are ambitious to reinstate other activities that have been affected by COVID-19. Pupils develop responsibility towards their local community, for example by litter-picking in the local park. Pupils also have opportunities to learn and collaborate with other pupils across the multi-academy trust.
Katharine Jordan, Headteacher at Milton Park said: “I am absolutely delighted with the report and very proud of all the staff and pupils. This is a validation of all the hardwork and commitment the school team have put in to ensure high expectations and an ambitious curriculum is in place for all subjects. We are looking forward to building on this over the next few years."
Congratulations to all of the children and staff at Milton Park. We are super proud of you for this well-deserved report.
