The Beach facilitates working parties to meet challenges and develop creative solutions by giving colleagues the time, space and freedom to focus on a specific area. Together we examine the situation, research and engage with the wider education and commercial communities to find solutions and move forward in partnership. Individual party members from across schools are then able to take the solutions back to the trust or their own schools.

Curriculum specialists from all ELAN schools came together to review and update curriculum provision to ensure that  knowledge and skill progressions met individual school needs and provided a high quality relevant curriculum that engages pupils and staff alike.

ELAN schools identified the need to develop a common approach to SEND assessment. Specialists from the central team and schools worked together to develop a system that tracks small steps of progress for children with SEND This system has been piloted will be adopted by all schools in September 2021.
